Wednesday, June 23

last week to go before the end of this holiday. I am supposed to be mugging like hell but doesn't seem like the case, well, i guess I am not the hardcore hardworking gang..

Pre-U sem had drained a week of my time and the first and third week was 'well-spent' on relaxation and here I am now, panicking and behaving like some eccentric psycho.. I thought this is attributed to examination stress. Anyway nice to see that the pre-u sem ppl are still keeping in touch and having revision sessions together (even though I have never been at any). You guys rawk.. thanks for the fun time.. keep in touch.

Anyway I went back to Meridian for tutorial with the cool and punky, Ms Wong. I love her accent and style.. haha.. I thought the session with her was rather productive as it helped me clarify some doubts and questions. I am beginning to like Econs but at the expense of history.. Personally I find history tedious and hard to grasp.. Sigh..

There was a BBQ held in Hana's condo or something so the class was invited but of which only 10 plus turned up according to Ming Yan. Well, I wasn't one of the 10.. haha, it was kinda rush and I only got to know it in the last minute. But anyway I had another BBQ back at MOntfort, the band members are having the camp.

So after econs tutorial, my PW group met up and we went to KFC at Tampines with the class. Well, not everyone, but most.. So we decided that we will conduct our survey at esplanade as the people who visits there were supposedly more intellectual and friendly.. Anyway our topic on art films declining seemed to be going somewhere at least.. much as I hate PW, i love this combi of people whom I am working with. They are so fun.. Haha although the feminine aura tend to dominate my group.. But at least I have the rule that can protect my male existence.. whatever.. it was fun..

Over at esplanade, we went around giving out surveys even though we knew that somehow we will raise the attention of the esplanade management and they will have us out of that classy place.. but who cares.. It was kinda shy at first but we soon got the momentum and started grabbing anyone in sight.. I managed to complete quite a number of surveys.. plus we got more books to back up our written report.. thank god.. We will be meeting tomorrow, I believe to add in the flesh for the written report..

it was about 6pm that we decided to end our PW meeting.. But we still managed to grab a caucasian to complete the last survey of the day.. he was friendly but I thought it was rather disgraceful as the survey was rather skimpy and errornous. anyway we had no choice but to put up this pretentious smile.. hee.. hee..

Sp i rushed from city hal back to hougang to meet my friends outside the montfort gate at 7pm. as usual I was late.. I reaCHED HOME AT 7PM and had to bath and stuff. it took me about 15 mins to get out again.. however they were not waiting for me anyway so doesn't really matter.. I didn't eat much as the food was rather boring and that they had their fill before us so we are left with the bones and skin and stuff. There were 300 over chicken wings left though.. waste..

and so the alumni stayed back till about 2am or so.. because of some absurd matter.. some of them were playing soccer outside the staff room where the announcement board stood. After we played our lame and childhood games, they decided that it was time to go home but again, they walked around and dilly-dally, reluctant to leave. it was then wei lung wanted to get all of to leave. He thought he could give the soccer ball a final blow to mark the end. Guess what, it smashed right into the anouncement board and shook the whole school.. The teachers ran out and everyone looked out.. Sigh.. it had to be us..

we cleared up the mess joyfully, even though it was rather serious to be loitering in the school at such a time and breaking private properties.. oh man.. So Mr. Ng told us to report to Mr. Yao the next day and explain the matter to him.. and we sianed 1/2.. we got chased out of the school as we weren't allow to stay in school, nothing to do with the glass incident. We then walked to S-11 neaR punggol park.. sat there for a couple of hours before going back to my house where they played PS 2 till the early morning..

we had to report in school at 8am. it was kinda weird to be going to school at such hour. It felt horrible waiting to be prosecuted.. we had thought of all the possible scenarios but none of which happened. Mr Yao merely gave us a short lecture, which he claims is not a lecture.. He kept repeating his points and going back to it again and again.. sigh. in the end, we weren't ask to pay nor were we punished.. we were just asked to offer our service to the school next time and not go around breaking things.. Chey, wasted my time..

I guess he was trying to handle this case in a adult manner.. he treated us like adults and forgave us.. They said Mr Ng was responsible for the leniency and he might probably pay for the damage on our behalf.. aww.. if only so, we should be so touch.. but well, that was the strangest day I had.. and I stinked. tHIs smell i can't get rid of when my friends are in my house.. after they left, i didn't stink anymore.. haha.. maybe it is them.. well.. who cares..

too.

02. You grew up brushing your teeth with a mug in Primary school during

Thursday, June 17

woohoo.. i haven't had the time to update this blog of mine for so so long.. gosh, hmm, where should i begin from? alright, let's talk about my pre-university trip.. oh man, it totally rocks man.. not only do you get to meet all the cool and intelligent people from junior colleges everywhere (no implication on the intelligence of people of other institutes). I had always thought that people from the top JCs like RJC, VJC, HCJC, TJC and stuff are nerds and muggers. but well, they are not.. maybe for some but most of them are just as fun loving as anyone on earth.. haha, and you can never get sick or tired of the conversations exchanged with each and every one of them. For those JCs-wannabes, a word of advice, get unscrupulous and worm your bloddy way into pre-u sem cause it totally rocks..

so we gathered in school at about 12pm. I was lugging all my luggages and bags to school. so oh-biang, like some auntie from CHina. when I reached school, i saw some familiar faces and similar situations.. haha, so i wasn't the aunti-est around.. haha.. we waited for an hour before the teacher in charge arrived. he said that the gathering time was suppose to be 1pm but one of the teacher thought we would definitely be late so he gathered us early. god knows where he is.. idiot. when we board the bus and headed for Prince George's Park, the excitement was simply overwhelming, everyone was so anxiously looking around for which building that we are going to put up for the next one week.. then we saw this building, wow, it was so damn cool, it looked like some condo or something.. haha but too bad we are not living there.. but we came to another building, good enough, looked almost similar to the previous one.. cool man, total madness.. we cheered and jumped about on the bus.. This place is heavenly.. this tall, condo like building is gonna be where we will be.. yeah..

so we checked in and stuff and gathered in our group first, this was the first instance I took a glimpse of the people whom i am going to work with for the rest of the seminar.. so the group leader, Daniel, this small eyed, cool dude from NJC took us to our rooms.. mine is on the first floor, the outside totally rocks, so I opened to door to my apartment.. my jaws dropped, my heart sank..

gosh, it is even smaller than my room divided into half.. argh.. they tricked us with the exterior.. damn.. anyway what can you do when you are already in for it.. aiya, heck.. then I unpacked and stuff, only to realise that the room seems really spooky even in the day, what is to happen in the night. Plus no air-con, oh man, i'm gonna die.. it really looks like a typical setting for a haunted small room.. ah...

it took us a while then to gather back again.. and after whichw e had interaction time. it wasn't as boring as i thought it would have been.. anyway I got to know some of them.. they are really cool, we started talking about how bad the room is and stuff, and the room, argh.. we are like some prisoners of war..sigh..

the week went with some talks with the ministers which was ultra boredom. and the students of other groups were so dying to show off their ability to ask questions. some was really lame and redundant.. stupidos.. and during the parallel presentations, Meridian was directed so many questions.. the other schools can't wait to screw this new born baby.. anyway i thoughg we did a terrific job.. good job guys.. i thought some people from other schools are total bitch about the parallel presentations. in fact they were there for the sake of exchange learning, they were out to embarrass the presentors of other schools, but it backfired instead.. serve them right..
miraculously, the food got so much better as the days went.. it was especially good during the talks with the ministers (duh! figures..)

anyway throughout the week, group 17 totally rocks.. this congregation of many different people from diverse background is a phenomenon. I had immense enjoyment when i am with them.. I really miss those guys and gals.. haha, i remembered we gathered at the lounge on the last night and while other groups are having fun, or mugging in their room, we sat down for some really deep-inside conversation. so we shared a lot of things, i thought it really bonded the entire group together although some of them don't seem really much interested.. anyway it was fun.. it was till 2am that we got chased off.. So the guys gathered in Teck Soon's room and waited for girls to call. eventually we ended up in the girls level, which we were forbiddened to enter.. well, heck since it is the last day.. so we hid in the cafeteria like some sneaky rats.. haha.. but it wasn't long before we left as the girls were worried that we will be severly punished if we are caught outside after lights out and even lurking in the girls cafeteria.. so we went back.. but then some of the guys went over to Teck Soon's room to play cards and stuff..

anyway the last day was a rush for me, they were planning to go to Felicia's house for some partying, i didn't know how it went, but i think it would be fun.. I had to rush off earlier than the rest of the group as I have a flight to Hong Kong to catch at 7pm.. I need to rush home to pack and prepare...

anyway by 5.00pm we were at the airport doing the administrative stuff.. the airport didn't looked as it did before, i guess it was due to the renovation.. ANyway three days to Hong Kong is definitely a short one.. I wished I had been there longer.. anyway we stayed in this really bad three star hotel, my dad almost changed to another but it didn't make much different because we will be leaving in another two days time.. so we just squeezed in.. This hotel room is similar to my pre-u sem room.. my goodness.. they had two single size bed and bathroom.. Anyway I was too exhausted to care about it.. I heard my parent left me in the room and went down to the night market.. anyway i slept throughout the night.. my eyelid felt so heavy they just couldn't keep open.. haha..

surprisingly, i could receive messages from singapore.. so cool, i can still maintain contact.. well, we went to the casino at Macau on the second day, lost about $250 sing dollars at the jackpot machine but won bad much more when my dad took a gamble at the fortune wheel thingy.. haha, the hours wasted on jackpot poved really lame.. luckily we won back more to cover for the loss...

we spent the third day shopping around 'wang jiao' (the street names are so complicated that you can't remember) anyway we got lost in the whole street and spent a few hours finding our way.. I had fun, boughts lots of stuff.. haha.. anyway we took the bus, somewhat similar to Singapore's, around Hong Kong. it was really fun to move around there..

Next time i want to take Singapore airline overseas.. it is cool.. i watched two movies to and fro.. Agent Cody Banks and The Butterfly effect.. I played pokemon too.,. haha.. stupid sia.. anyway their service rulez.. the airflight is cool.. my goodness.. cheers to Singapore airlines.. haha.. anyway will post some pictures soon.. see ya.. muack..

About school life, our economics teacher just left us to pursue her studies at a local university. Anyway we didn't really like her in the beginning ass we thought she couldn't teach econs, according to some legends, she just finished her A Level, although we stil have our doubts about that.. anyway towards the end of her teaching at Meridian, we realise that she was actually a reasonably good teacher. Just that we have to listen to her and clarify our doubts, but she proved herself to be really patient. I think our class are beginning to dread the idea of her leaving. One of them even asked how much she charge for tuition lessons, and she said she will coach us free. wa, so touch sia.. Thanks Ms Peh.. good luck to your futre.

Replacing her is this cool, punkish, english-accented teacher called Ms Wong, whom we thought was Wong Mei Lin, thank god, that monstrosity is not our econs tutor otherwise i might as well drop.. I think with this new tutor teaching us, we will have so much fun. I love her accent. She speaks with this british plus american accent and she sounds perfectly natural. although sometimes it is a bit too fast we couldn't catch it.. Anyway she slouches a little which made her looked like a witch, plus she was sweating profusely during our tutorial.. no one offered her tissue though.. I want to know more about her background, where she received her education from.. seems interesting.. haha.. by the way, her name is Michelle Wong.. she reminds me of Avril Lavigne..

The first week of holiday is coming to an end, it frightens me, I am going to have my pre-university camp at NUS from 6 to 11 of Jun, after which I will visit HongKong right after my camp, which is 11 to 13 Jun.. gosh, I feel like some superstar.. rushing here and flying there.. but anyway i am looking forward to it.. yeah.. There goes my second week of the holidays.. after which I have to start mugging till the late nights to catch up in my work.. I definitely would not want to fail my mid-year.. as Ms Lai has made it more than frightening to fail anything in JC.. yeah.. keeping my fingers cross..

Yesterday, I heard the bell of that ice cream man, and so I went downstairs to patronise him.. Anyway I approached him and he said, what do u want, UNCLE? i stoned for about 10 seconds.. do I look so old as to be addressed uncle.. oh man.. still I bought a raspberry ice cream.. so funny sia.. i feel so insulted.. maybe he couldn't see clearly.. well..

yeah.. I am going to catch Harry Potter tonight, I am looking forward to it.. the agony for the past two years is finally coming an end.. I wonder how it would turn?? as I didn't to the books.. anyway I think i might just borrow from someone one these days.. till I blog again.. see ya.. bye

love and peace..
